Austin is notorious for its scorching hot summers. If you’re looking for the best way to escape the heat, take a dip in the nearest watering hole.
East Austin Hotel
There’s no requirement to be a guest at East Austin Hotel in order to have access to the pool (unless, of course, you’re due for a staycation). The public day passes include access to the pool, poolside food and drink service, complimentary parking, and WiFi. A pass is $35 for adults and $15 for children.

Bartholomew Pool
A go-to for those nearby, Bartholomew Pool is spacious and full of family-friendly amenities. The pool features two water slides, a lily pad obstacle, a diving board, an area for lap swimming, and a shallow area for the little ones. While this pool does tend to fill up fairly quickly, it’s sure to provide a full day of fun for the kids.

Kitty Cohen’s
Cocktail lounge Kitty Cohen’s features a 70s-inspired patio with a small wading pool in the center. While this pool is not technically for swimming, there’s enough room for dipping your feet in, which is all you really need for a slight reprieve from the heat. Order a tropical cocktail or their popular Frosé while sitting poolside, and you’ll instantly feel like you’re on vacation in Palm Springs.
