Meals on Wheels
Established in 1972, Meals on Wheels Central Texas serves senior residents and homebound adults by combating both hunger and social isolation. Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT)
iACT works toward cultivating harmony and respect between the various faith communities. Founded in 2008, this ecologically-conscious organization began its work in an Austin high school and now carries out its educational mission all over the country. As displacement becomes a growing threat, Six Square’s cause to preserve the history and culture of the African-American community of small businesses and artists in East Austin is more vital than ever. RBI Austin emphasizes sports as a method to affect positive change in inner-city communities.
