As museums, zoos, and libraries across the state and country close, there are still ways to support them by enjoying the benefits of learning online. Texas museums have opened online by publishing their collections. Libraries are hosting readings, and even NASA has joined the line-up in the virtual learning opportunities.

Blanton Museum of Art Online Collections
Founded in 1963, Blanton Museum of Art holds the largest public collection in Central Texas with around 19,000 objects. Recognized as the home of Ellsworth Kelly’s “Austin,” its major collecting areas are modern and contemporary American and Latin American art, Italian Renaissance and Baroque paintings, and prints and drawings. Austin Bat Cave’s Online Writing Lab (OWL) is offering digital content, resources, and lessons from ABC volunteers for families learning and writing at home. The Cincinnati Zoo
This zoo is bringing the zoo home with virtual tours. The Home Safaris start every day at 2 p.m. CST. Watch the Home Safaris live on Facebook. Don’t fret if you miss the tour though; there is always something going on. Log on at any time to watch the animals in their habitats.

Lunch Doodle with Mo Willems
With the Kennedy Center Education Artist-in-Residence at Home, Mo Willems, artists of all ages are joining him in his studio for weekday Lunch Doodles. This three-week course includes 15 episodes and their downloadable activities. With millions of learners attempting to grow and educate themselves in new circumstances, Mo decided to invite everyone into his studio once a day for the next few weeks.
