It’s Italian {Market}
When you are tired of ordinary, step into little Italy.

A few years ago, I was in my kitchen preparing for a wine dinner for later that night. I truly wanted some white truffle to finish off the risotto dish I was cooking. It was a last minute addition and, of course, nowhere to find it in town! I asked myself, “Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a specialty Italian market in Austin?” Just like that, a dream was born!
The main question was where in Austin we would open such a market? One year of searching and east side was the obvious answer. On March 2016, we opened the doors to our neighbors and could not have made a better choice. Warm and kind people have overwhelmed us to say the least.
It’s Italian: a unique specialty market where you can find all things Italian, hundreds of wines to choose from hand-picked by our certified Wine Location Specialist and, of course, Italian craft beers sold by bottle or growler. With wine bottling on premises, wine tastings, wine classes, coffee, tea, pastas, olive oils, cold cuts, cheeses, gelato, sauces, mushrooms, truffles, olives, vinegar, spices, chocolates, cookies, gift cards, and gift baskets, It’s Italian Market has you covered.
We invite you to step into little Italy and feast your eyes. If you can’t find it here, we will source it out for you.
Wine Pairings:
Poderi Oddero Barbera D’Alba Doc 2012 Piedmont
Barbera is known for its racy acidity, rusticity, and earthiness. Pair with wild mushrooms or gamey meats and get ready to fall in love with this classically structured Barbera from one of the finest wineries in Barolo.

Malvira Roero Arneis Docg 2015 Piedmont
Straw yellow, the nose expresses Arneis Tradition with clear floral hints of elder and acacia which is flanked by citrus references. The taste is fresh, has nice acidity and is balanced.
Pairings: Malvirà Arneis white wine is ideal to accompany soft cheeses such as Caseificio dell’Alta Langa Robiola, Fabbri Amarena Wild cherry and Lazzaroni bruschette rosemary crackers.
