Serving up quality drinks & exceptional entertainment

The Eastside hangout has all the essentials—delicious drinks, dancing, and live music—making it a major stop in the East Sixth Street arts and entertainment district. Because there’s live music or a DJ spinning tunes almost every night of the week, there’s never a dull evening at Hotel Vegas.
Though the venue’s atmosphere is generally laidback, the Hotel Vegas team undoubtedly still keeps mixology top of mind. They rotate their cocktails on a recurring basis, filling the menu with plenty of seasonally relevant options.
During their annual “Free Week,” the team served up exquisite cocktail concoctions featuring the complex spirit that is Desert Door sotol. The memorable Mick Jones Nicked My Pudding consisted of Desert Door, Disaronno liqueur, fig syrup, lemon juice, and hot water. All ingredients came together perfectly to provide a warm, soothing experience that was perfect for a chilly Austin evening.
However, those indifferent to fancy cocktails still have plenty to choose from as well. Hotel Vegas offers the classic bar staples like beer, ciders, seltzers, and White Claws. They also like to keep it playful with fresh, flavorful Jell-O shots. In the summertime, when the days are warmer and longer, frozen drinks like their sweet, yet spicy, mango-habanero margarita are a must.
The Hotel Vegas team does a phenomenal job of booking the hottest up-and-coming acts. Whether it’s a punk rock show, a comedy showcase, or a cumbia dance party, there’s always a good reason to drop by the bar for a drink.
And it doesn’t end there. Once inside the venue, guests can traverse one of the Eastside’s largest patios to get to Hotel Vegas’ sister bar, The Volstead, a dive bar with a vintage twist. Hotel Vegas is an Eastside gem that is the perfect place to start an epic evening or wind down for the night.
