Urban Roots
The youth development programming at Urban Roots may be temporarily paused in light of coronavirus, but the East Austin farm is keeping to their mission to nourish the community. In addition to donating their harvested produce to local restaurants and organizations, Urban Roots recently launched produce boxes. The pre-packed, half-bushel boxes are $30 and include a selection of approximately eight seasonal veggies. Longhorn Meat Market
A staple in the community, the family-owned butcher shop has been serving fresh cut meats to the neighborhood and beyond for 50 years. Longhorn Meat Market is known for their high-quality cuts of meat and serves a variety of beef, pork, poultry, and a grocery items like eggs and coffee as well. Order online for pickup or delivery.

Johnson’s Backyard Garden
The backyard garden turned 186-acre farm has long been a go-to for all things produce and farm education. Johnson’s Backyard Garden produces over 60 types of fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs and distributes the harvest to the community through restaurant distribution, markets, and CSA boxes. The CSA boxes, which are distributed to those in the Community Supported Agriculture program, come in four sizes, are full of seasonal certified organic produce, and are delivered to members on a weekly or every-other-week basis. {Read more about JBG here.}

Dai Due
Since opening in 2006, Dai Due has been dedicated to using only ingredients found in Texas:; a mission that has extended to both the intimate restaurant and the in-house butcher shop. Dai Due’s butcher shop offers traditional, hand cut meats that have been sourced directly from Texas farms and include everything from grass-fed beef to lamb to quail, and even breakfast sausage. Boggy Creek Farm
As the first urban farm in Austin, and one of the first in the United States, Boggy Creek Farm has stood the test of time thanks to their passion for organic produce and dedication to serving their neighbors. If you’re looking for traditional meats or creative charcuterie plates, look no further than Salt + Time. Eden East
Whether through market days or sit down prix fixe dinners, Eden East has been a constant source of thoughtful ingredients and locally-produced goods. While the farm stand remains open under a “one in, one out” procedure, Eden East is making their farm goods even more accessible to the community with their veggie bags.
