Spend time with dad
Words by Alison Bryce
It’s a day all for dad but figuring out what he would enjoy can be challenging. These activities are sure to help each family find a way to make him feel special.
Kayak
If weather permits, head to EpicSUP for kayak rentals and water access for a day spent on Lady Bird Lake. This activity is great for dads with children who are older. Paddle through the water while taking in the views. Employees are more than willing to help those who are new to kayaking or want to try their hand at paddle boarding. Life jackets are required for everyone who leaves land but can be rented for the day in the shop.

Family Stroll
Sometimes all that is needed to make a day special is time together. End the day with a walk through Boggy Creek Greenbelt. The trails are not very long which makes them accessible to families of all ages. Dads of dogs can enjoy time together here because dogs are allowed on the trails. Plenty of grassy fields scattered throughout the greenbelt where families can rest or play some ball.
