Longhorn Imaging is proud to be the only locally-owned and -operated diagnostic imaging center in Austin. David Avery and his business partner opened the first location in South Austin in April 2014 and have since grown to seven total centers across Central Texas, with an eighth, yet-undisclosed location currently under construction and set to open this year.

Longhorn Imaging uses the latest and most advanced equipment available in diagnostic testing, including the only weight-bearing MRI machine in central Texas. Several locations have recently been upgraded and now offer spacious wide-bore/short-bore MRI machines, perfect for claustrophobic and oversized patients.

We accept most insurance plans and personal injury LOPs (letters of protection) and even offer free transportation for MRI & CT scans for patients within 30 miles of any of our locations. With over 75 years of combined experience, the team understands that diagnostic testing can be stressful. They are dedicated to making the experience as stress-free as possible, offering fair and affordable pricing in a relaxing, comfortable environment.

Supporting the local community is also a huge part of Longhorn Imaging’s mission. Every year, they give back by sponsoring local events like the US Kids Golf Tournament, donating to local charities like Manos de Cristo, and so much more throughout the year, including holiday toy and food drives.
