When fitness trends say harder, faster, and louder, Club Pilates says slower, intentional, and controlled! Pilates is not fad fitness; it’s been a popular wellness modality for over 100 years. We have Joe to thank for that, as in Joseph Pilates: a German physical trainer and inventor.
With a modern, contemporary twist to the original Pilates (Contrology) method, Molly and Charlie opened the Club Pilates East Austin studio right before the pandemic shut-down. Maybe it was bad timing, or maybe we all got a wake up call to how important it is to take care of our bodies!
People choose Pilates for many reasons. Some of the physical benefits of Pilates include increased strength, flexibility, and balance, along with better posture, reduced pain, and decreased stress. There is also a centering, mind-body component that makes Pilates so special.
Playfully referring to each other as Beauty & the Beast (we’ll let you decide who is which!), Charlie teaches classes and trains new instructors for Pilates certification, while Molly keeps the daily studio operations afloat. Both are passionate about sharing the Pilates magic, one flow and breath at a time. Stop by to experience it for yourself!
