The holiday season is officially in full swing which means local shops are here to help patrons find the perfect gift. Special days such as Black Friday and Small Business Saturday can be the best days of the year to find the greatest deals. Instead of rushing to the larger chain stores and pushing through the crowds, consider giving back to the community by shopping at local Eastside establishments.
Son of a Sailor is getting into the spirit by providing different deals and events throughout November and December. On Black Friday, they will have unique studio jewelry up to 80% off. Their Small Business Saturday sale (which will run through Sunday) will have even more deals. A variety of leather, dog collars, leashes, jewelry, and other brands will be marked down. The deals don’t stop there though; Cyber Monday will give shoppers one final chance to take advantage of lower prices on all the same items online. In addition, there will be a foil press every Saturday in December to customize leather gifts. 916 Springdale Rd #3-105 | sonofasailor.co
With a focus more on Small Business Saturday, Olive is prepared to make sure customers have a good time in store with different promotions and events. Customers will enjoy 20% off everything in store all day and receive a free Olive tote or lighter with any purchase over $75. Shopping in the afternoon? Enjoy the Figure 8 Pour Over Pop Up from 11am- 3pm and stick around for music played by DJ Ellá Ellá from 3-7pm. 1200 E 11th St #104 | shopolive.us
The Paper & Craft Pantry will have plenty of fun and treats for shoppers during their annual Small Business Saturday market. While they will have some activities on Friday, their main day is Saturday. With five additional vendors being present, goodie bags for the first 25 guests, discounts, mimosas, music, and multiple chances to win some stellar giveaways, this one-day market is not to be missed. As an extra bonus to celebrate their third year of business, Paper & Craft Pantry will be rolling out their new locally-created stationary which will be available for purchase at the market. 1023 Springdale Rd building 6b | thepapercraftpantry.com
Don’t have time to make it somewhere Friday or Saturday? Las Cruxes’ sale runs through the entire weekend. From November 23-26, they will have a variety of items in their shop 20% off. With a large selection of accessories, shoes, and clothing, shoppers are sure to find something for themselves or loved ones during this sale. 1900 E 12th St | lascruxes.com
Solid Gold is getting into the holiday spirit by offering deals from November 24-30. All clothing will be 20% off. On November 29 from 4-7pm, they will have a special trunk show/ holiday gift stock up event featuring Earthling Jewelry from Los Angeles and local artist Heather Sundquist Hall. Find the perfect gift for a friend or take advantage of these offers to give your wardrobe a new look before 2019 arrives. By taking away the “I need it now” stress that one-day sales bring, Solid Gold’s hope is to keep their store a happy and stress-free environment for every shopper who comes in. 1601 E 5th St #102 | solidgoldtx.com
