Mum Foods
Located in the former home of Elaine’s Pork and Pie, Mum Foods serves up deli-style sandwiches and is most known for their pastrami. Mum Foods has been a longtime farmer’s market vendor, but recently transitioned into its first brick-and-mortar, joining the ranks of Manor Road establishments. Be sure to try The Original, which is made with hot pastrami, house mustard and served on sourdough from Swedish Hill Bakery.

Sixth and Waller
Can’t decide what kind of food you’re craving? Consider Sixth and Waller, the global foods-focused diner located in the recently opened East Austin Hotel. Whether craving breakfast or dinner—or breakfast for dinner thanks to the all-day breakfast menu—Sixth and Waller has it all. After filling their stomachs, patrons can also pop upstairs for cocktails at the hotel’s rooftop bar, The Upside.

Oseyo
Korean for “please come in,” Oseyo is one of the newest Asian restaurants in town, having officially opened on May 28th. The menu at this warm and inviting space features traditional dishes like house made steamed dumplings, kimchi, and Bibimbap, which is comprised of rice with seasonal veggies, a fried egg, and bulgogi. The space includes indoor seating, a patio, and a chic bar area with an inventive cocktail menu to match.

Vixen’s Wedding
One of two restaurants located at the newly opened ARRIVE East Austin–both opened by the husband-and-wife team behind Lenoir–Vixen’s Wedding features a Goan and Portugese inspired menu. The shareable, family-style dishes are packed with bright flavors and spices and use local Texas ingredients. Signature dishes include the Smoky Beet Dosa with Curry Leaf Aioli and the Roasted Fish Thali with Green Curry Pineapple Chili Fry.

Gotham
From the owners of South Austin’s Cafe Malta, Gotham is bringing New York City-style meals to the Eastside. While the bistro technically opened last summer, the hearty dishes, like Pastrami Pappardelle or Fettuccini with Lox, are a welcome addition to the wide range of cuisines offered around the neighborhood. Diners will also appreciate the ample parking lot onsite, a rare find in Austin.
