Friday Flicks

Round up the whole crew for a free outdoor screening of DC League of Super-Pets at Waterloo Park. There will be live music, a school supply drive, hot dogs, and family-friendly fun! The movie will begin at sunset, but the fun will continue until 10 pm.

Austin Pride Parade
August 12, 11 am-7 pm
The fun starts at Fiesta Gardens with carnival rides, vendor booths, delicious food, and special drag performances for those looking for a good show. Afterward, head over to the Texas Capitol State Building for the highly-anticipated PRIDE parade. The parade will begin at 8 pm. This colorful festivity will head down Congress Avenue and end at Ann Richards Bridge.

Connor’s Heart: A Night of Music
August 13, 8-11 pm
Have fun while helping the community by heading to Emo’s for a night of music supporting Connor’s Heart, a non-profit organization dedicated to education, advocacy, and scholarships for those struggling with opioids. The event kicks off at 7 pm, and general admission is $45. All proceeds benefit Austin area recipients.

Bat Fest

Don’t miss out on this great Austin tradition with music, art, crafts, food, and, most importantly, bats! Austin’s 17th Annual Bat Fest is flying in full swing. The Front Festival

End the summer on a high note at The Front Festival: an annual creative showcase that strives to highlight art from Texas women and LGBTQ+ individuals. Night Birds

The District Days Cultural Art Fest

Learn about the contributions of Central Texas’s Black community with unlimited food, local Black musicians, and adult beverages on the beautiful grounds of Huston Tillotson University.
