There’s no better way to celebrate the weekend than by going out for brunch. The balance of sweet and savory foods combined with bubbly drinks and a communal spirit at the table all make for a memorable experience. Whether celebrating a special occasion this spring or simply wanting to kick off the weekend, here are six spots to visit for an easy-going brunch on the Eastside.
Stella Public House
This Mueller spot offers plenty of brunch options for the whole family. Try something on the sweeter side like the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, or go for savory with one of their personal pizzas, including the brunch specialty, Migas Pizza. And what is brunch without a little booze? Cocktails at Stella Public House include the classics like mimosas of various flavors, as well as more inventive sips like the Grilled Cheese Bloody Mary. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-2pm.

Kinda Tropical
While casual in appearance, Kinda Tropical’s elevated cuisine is not something to be overlooked. Standout items on their new brunch menu include CBD-infused waffles, ricotta toast, and the Bloody Maria which is comprised of mescal, pickle juice, and red curry. Enjoy brunch at Kinda Tropical from 11am-3pm on weekends.

The Buzz Mill
There’s something for every appetite at The Buzz Mill’s brunch. The 24/7 coffee shop offers the best of both worlds with a barbeque brunch from Sky’s Catering as well as vegan brunch options from Cool Beans. As for cocktails, guests can create their own bloody Mary at the bloody Mary bar or sip on a mimosa that features sparkling wine from Infinite Monkey Theorem. Brunch takes place from 10am to 2pm on weekends, but visit on Sundays to enjoy Motown tunes on the large dog-friendly patio.

The menu at this tucked away restaurant includes the classics like breakfast tacos and huevos rancheros, as well as their best-selling Mom’s Migas and Queso. The brunch options at this Riverside restaurant lean more toward the savory side, with dishes like Steak-N-Eggs and a quinoa omelette gracing the menu. To balance out the hearty cuisine, order their signature mimosa.
